How Intuition Opened the Door to Healing in My Family

The Wisdom of Tarot

Love was always there. Communication was not.

Communication in my family was never easy .

Like many families, we loved each other deeply, but conversations often turned into arguments. Misunderstandings appeared quickly. Emotions rose easily. And expressing how we truly felt often led to defensiveness instead of understanding.

It was not a lack of love. It was a lack of space to truly hear one another.

For many years, it felt like we were speaking different emotional languages.

Distance did not solve the problem.

Twenty-one years ago, I moved to the United States while the rest of my family remained in Canada.

Distance did not necessarily make communication easier. In many ways, it made it more complicated. Without everyday interactions, misunderstandings had more room to grow. Conversations became shorter, and deeper discussions often felt harder to navigate.

For a long time, it seemed like we simply did not know how to truly listen to each other.

But life has a way of introducing healing through unexpected paths.

My Journey Into the World of Healing

Over the years, I began exploring different healing arts .

I have always been fascinated by spirituality, intuition, and the invisible forces that shape our experiences. My curiosity led me to study various modalities that explore the relationship between energy, awareness, and personal growth.

Among all the tools I encountered, one stood out in a very personal way…Tarot.

At first, it was simply a private practice.

A moment of reflection.
A quiet dialogue with myself.
A way to slow down and observe the patterns unfolding in my life.

The cards did not tell me what to do.
They helped me see what was already there.

Tarot opened conversations we never had.

Eventually, I shared my practice with my sister.

She had always been drawn to spirituality as well. The mysteries of life, the occult, and the deeper layers of existence fascinated her. Naturally, she was curious about Tarot, and we began pulling cards together from time to time.

At first, it was playful.
But something surprising began to happen.

The cards started opening conversations we had never been able to have before. Subjects that might normally trigger tension suddenly felt easier to explore. Instead of arguing about perspectives, we reflected on what the cards were showing us.

Tarot became a neutral messenger.

Instead of reacting, we began observing.
And that small shift changed everything.

When my mother joined, something shifted...

Not long after, my mother became curious and joined our sessions.

Before long, the three of us were regularly pulling cards together, sharing insights, and reflecting on our lives. What started as curiosity slowly became something much deeper. Eventually, we even created our own little Facebook group.

We called it “Trio Tarot.”

Yes… the name still makes us laugh.

But behind that playful name, something powerful was unfolding. Tarot created a space where honesty felt safe. It allowed emotions to surface without confrontation. Thoughts that had been buried for years began to emerge gently, through symbols, archetypes, and reflection.

In many ways, it became a form of therapy.

Healing often begins with one person.

I have always believed that when one person begins to heal within a family, a ripple effect begins.

When two or three people commit to that inner work together, the ripple becomes a wave.

Conversations soften.
Listening deepens.
Defensiveness slowly dissolves.
And something remarkable begins to happen: generational patterns start shifting.

That is exactly what began to happen in our family.

Instead of arguing, we began reflecting.
Instead of reacting, we started understanding.

Then something happened that I never expected...

My father began to change as well.

He became curious about what we were doing. One day, he asked if he could join one of our Tarot sessions.

I remember feeling both surprised and deeply moved.

The same family that once struggled to communicate without conflict was now sitting together, exploring life through symbols, intuition, and reflection.

Not searching for answers.

But creating space for understanding.

Your intuition is waiting...

If you feel stuck, disconnected, or uncertain, it does not mean something is wrong with you.

It means your system is overloaded.
It means your signal is blocked by noise.

But the signal is still there.

Intuition does not disappear. It waits for you to return to yourself.

When you regulate your nervous system and clear what no longer serves you, your inner guidance becomes accessible again.

Clarity returns.
Alignment follows.
And purpose reveals itself naturally.

You do not need to become someone else.
You only need to clear the way back to who you already are.

Tarot did not give us answers, it gave us space.

Tarot did something far more powerful than prediction.

It created space.

Space to listen.
Space to reflect.
Space to express thoughts and emotions we did not previously know how to say.

The cards became mirrors.
They reflected what was already present beneath the surface.

And when those reflections were shared together, something beautiful emerged…

Connection.

Tarot as a Mirror of the Soul

Today, I no longer see Tarot simply as something mystical .

I see it as a mirror of the soul.

A symbolic language that helps reveal patterns, emotions, and insights that often remain hidden beneath the noise of everyday life.

When approached with awareness and openness, Tarot can become a powerful tool for reflection, clarity, and healing.

In my case, it became something far more meaningful than I ever expected.

It became a bridge.
A bridge that helped bring my family closer together.

Tarot as a Tool for Self-Discovery

At The Taylered Purpose™, Tarot is not about predicting the future.

It is about understanding yourself.
It is about recognizing patterns, exploring intuition, and opening conversations that lead to deeper awareness and personal transformation.

Sometimes the clarity we are searching for is not outside of us.

It is already within us.
It simply needs the right space to be revealed.

Your inner guidance is waiting...

If you feel called to explore your own inner guidance, Tarot can become a powerful tool for reflection and insight.

Not because the cards hold your destiny.

But because they help you access the wisdom that already exists within you.

At The Taylered Purpose™, sessions are designed to help you reconnect with that inner clarity and discover the patterns shaping your life.

Your path toward deeper understanding may be closer than you think.

And sometimes, all it takes is a single conversation to begin the journey.
